Theatre performance at the "Théâtre de Pézenas" on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 7 p.m. The Harvard speech, published in 2014 by edition "Belles Lettres", is Solzhenitsyn's best-known speech. "Harvard speech is an intense and powerful text, which often hits the spot and sometimes provokes. This speech is an account, an appeal from 40 years ago and remains highly topical; it has its place in the 2018 celebration of the centenary of Alexandre Solzhenitsyn's death. The challenges of identity and progress, morality and freedom, limit and elevation are magnificently announced. Public actor, passionate about Russia, avid reader of Solzhenitsyn, I wanted, thanks to Gregory Lopukhin's adaptation, to create and propose this text. Not to promulgate a politic vision, but rather to transmit an ethical requirement, the anxiety of ideal. To say, to feel, to share, to relay to others. " - Hervé Mariton
